Find Home — operated by Innovation Cameroon
These Booking Terms supplement the general Terms and Conditions and apply whenever you request to book a property through Find Home. They are published in English and in French, and both versions have the same meaning.
Find Home is operated by Innovation Cameroon, whose registered office is at 131 Continental Dr Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States. You can reach us at contact@innovcam.com and on [SUPPORT TELEPHONE]. Find Home puts tenants and landlords in contact and handles the booking request. The landlord, not Find Home, is the person who rents you the property.
The price you see in the app is the price you pay. Find Home's commission is already inside it and is never added afterwards. That price is the total amount payable to obtain the booking, all taxes included.
It is made up of two parts: the landlord's rent, which the landlord receives in full with nothing deducted, and Find Home's commission, which is retained by Find Home and its partners. The commission rate may differ between listings and may change over time. The rate that applies to your booking, and both parts of the price, are itemised for you in the app, and the complete total is displayed before you confirm anything. A change to the rate never affects a booking already requested.
On long stays, commission is charged once every twelve months and not on every instalment. The real total for a multi-month booking is therefore lower than the displayed price for one period multiplied by the number of periods. Where the two differ, the total shown to you on the booking screen is the one that applies.
Rent, deposits and any charges agreed directly with the landlord after the booking, such as water, electricity or a security deposit, are matters between you and the landlord. Find Home does not collect them and does not set them. Ask the landlord about them in the in-app chat before you commit.
A displayed price is valid for as long as the listing remains published at that price. Landlords may change their prices, and a change takes effect only for bookings requested afterwards. The price shown to you at the moment you send your request is the price that binds that request, and it will not move while the landlord considers it.
Some listings are agent-managed. For those, unlocking contact and chat requires payment of a refundable agent fee and a non-refundable platform fee. Both amounts are shown to you in the app before you pay, and no agent-managed listing may be presented without them. Rent for these listings is agreed directly with the landlord off the platform.
Under Cameroonian law on electronic commerce, you have fifteen (15) days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw from a service bought electronically. You can notify us electronically or by any other appropriate means, and we refund the sums we received within fifteen (15) days.
Where you ask us to process your booking straight away and we do so before those fifteen days have run, the law treats the service as already provided and the right to withdraw no longer applies. We tell you this at the moment you make that request, and the cancellation rules in section 7 then apply instead.
You may cancel a pending request at any time. Once a booking is confirmed, cancellation is subject to the free-cancellation window and the cancellation deadline shown for that booking. No-shows and cancellations made after the applicable window may affect how much is refunded. The specific windows and refund amounts are shown in the app for each booking, before you confirm.
Payments made through the app are processed by our payment providers. Where a listing is marked as direct payment, you pay the landlord directly and Find Home receives nothing from you at that point. If a payment fails, is debited twice, or does not reach its destination, contact us and we will trace it with the provider and put it right.
What we publish about a property is part of what you are agreeing to. If the property you arrive at does not match its listing in a way that matters, tell us within seven (7) days. We will investigate, and where the listing was wrong we will cancel the booking at no cost to you, refund what you paid us, and take the listing down until the landlord corrects it. This is in addition to your rights under Cameroonian law, which we do not limit.
Write to us at contact@innovcam.com or use Support in the app. We acknowledge within forty-eight (48) hours and aim to resolve within fifteen (15) days. If we cannot, you keep every remedy the law gives you, including going to the competent court and referring the matter to the Ministry in charge of Commerce.
Find Home may reverse transactions or restrict accounts where there is fraud, abuse, or a breach of these terms. Where we do so we tell you why, and you may contest the decision through the complaints route above.
Nothing in these terms removes or reduces a right Cameroonian law gives you as a consumer. Any clause that tried to do so would have no effect.
